El Puerto de Santa María, Cádiz, is home to a pharmacy with a strikingly original and modern design: the I+Prada Pharmacy. A design project that received first prize in the Pharmacy category at the 45th edition of the International Store Design Awards.
Housed in a listed building in El Puerto de Santa María’s historic quarter, it was originally a small pharmacy featuring a counter and period furniture, high ceilings and encaustic cement tiles on the floors.
True to its vision of retail branding, and after analysing the essence of this space, Marketing Jazz came up with a brand concept designed especially for the chain: “Tu salud suma más” (“Your health adds up to more”).
The entrance is a space that leads directly to the counters situated to the right at the rear. A space featuring the original period furniture and a recovered encaustic cement floor. The counter and front feature the expression “Consulta I+”, transmitting a message of a personalised pharmacy service. This more traditional design blends in perfectly with the chain’s contemporary image. Entering the Andalusian courtyard is a magical experience: the arches and columns make for an elegantly noble and majestic setting.
The materials played a key role in this project. The floors tiles featured a combination of the large format Regeneration Grey collection by Apavisa with the original cement tiles. The panelled walls feature Dibond, olive ash and white lacquered MDF. This pharmacy is a signature project that is unique, contemporary, warm and professional.
