Cersaie 2026 has now come to an end, leaving behind five days in Bologna characterised by design, innovation and the opportunity to meet professionals from all over the world. From 21 to 25 September, Apavisa Porcelánico once again took part in this leading international event for ceramics, architecture and interior design, showcasing its new collections and the latest additions to its catalogue at its stand in Hall 26.
This year’s edition provided an opportunity to share with architects, interior designers, distributors, professionals and partners the evolution of Apavisa and its approach to porcelain tiles as a design tool. Over the five days of the fair, the stand welcomed numerous visitors and became a hub for discussion centred on new collections, materials, formats and possibilities for contemporary projects.
Cersaie 2026: new collections exploring material, colour and geometry
Among the key new releases presented at this year’s event are Archlab, Ion, Nagel and Nexo – four new collections that expand Apavisa’s aesthetic vocabulary and explore different ways of interpreting ceramic surfaces.
Archlab presents ceramics as a creative laboratory in which colour, geometry and finishes become tools for experimentation. Its 30x30 cm modular system combines a vibrant colour palette with glossy and natural finishes, offering a wide range of possibilities for creating bespoke compositions and surfaces with a distinctively graphic character.
Ion explores the essence of metal through handcrafted glazes. Its surfaces interact with light through iridescent reflections and subtle variations in tone, creating a dynamic effect in which each piece takes on its own identity. The collection combines the precision of ceramic technology with a warm, handcrafted appearance.
Nagel draws inspiration from the constructive power of mineral earth and the expressive qualities of pressed clay and sedimented surfaces. Its terracotta and balanced neutral tones lend a solid and serene materiality, designed to create continuous volumes and architectural geometries.
For its part, Nexo establishes a dialogue between architectural geometry and metallic details. Linear textures, ribbed reliefs and shades of brass and cobalt are combined with neutral surfaces to create balanced and versatile compositions, designed to connect different spaces through rhythm, proportion and visual continuity.
These four collections represent different approaches to ceramic design, but they share a common aim: to expand the creative possibilities of the surface and offer new tools to architects and interior designers.
New sizes that expand the catalogue’s possibilities
Apavisa’s presence at Cersaie 2026 also served to showcase new possibilities within existing collections. The expansion of formats allows well-known designs to be reinterpreted and adapted to new applications and compositions, reinforcing the catalogue’s versatility.
Among these new additions, the new formats incorporated into collections such as Zinc and Alchemy stand out, as do the two new designs in the Alma collection. These additions expand the combinations possible within the collections and offer new solutions for projects seeking continuity, rhythm and variety in their surfaces.
Alongside these new products, the Apavisa stand also showcased collections such as Ashen, Kroma, Perlino, Marble, Modular, Tacto and Tuscany. Although some of these had already been presented at previous international events, their inclusion at Cersaie 2026 forms part of the evolution of the designs that will make up Apavisa’s new range for 2027.
Each of these collections represents a different approach to materials and design, ranging from surfaces inspired by stone and marble to more graphic, geometric or tactile designs. Taken together, they demonstrate an increasingly broad vision of porcelain tiles as a resource for creating spaces and developing architectural concepts.
Large formats and new solutions for architectural projects
One of the key themes of the range presented at Cersaie 2026 was large formats. Through its Slabs brand, Apavisa brings together its large-format offerings and continues to expand the possibilities for using porcelain tiles in architecture and interior design.
The trade fair served as the chosen venue to unveil new pieces that expand this range, including Wild Forest Taupe 3D Silk in the 120x280 cm format and Wild Forest Ivory 3D Silk in 120x120 cm. These new additions make it possible to translate the collection’s aesthetic onto large-scale surfaces and explore new applications in contemporary projects.
Nagel has also been launched in a new 8 mm thickness, with the Nagel Grey Nonslip and Nagel Ivory Nonslip tiles available in 120x120 cm and 60x120 cm sizes. This expansion combines Nagel’s mineral aesthetic with new options for size and finish, catering to projects that require technical and aesthetic solutions tailored to different spaces.

Apavisa’s participation in Cersaie 2026 has marked the start of a new phase in the evolution of its catalogue.
